Service Description

The word Reiki comes from Japanese root words: rei "soul, spirit" and ki "vital energy". Reiki = universal / soul energy Reiki is energy that we are made of, that we harness, that we release, that we feel on a daily basis whether you are fully aware of this energy or not. Reiki energy work does not interfere with any beliefs, creed or lack thereof. Reiki energy can and does coexist with these beliefs without needing to have a direct cause and effect. Though, after a session or two, you may find your own connections. During an energy work session, your practitioner will act as a cord, connecting your energy with universal energy. Reiki energy is "pushed" through each of your body parts and chakras (energy centers in your body) to act as a cleanser / healer. Throughout the session, your practitioner may also pick up readings from each chakra and different parts of your body. Maybe it's something in your life that needs attention, or help working through a life changing event, etc. These things will be conversed about after energy work, before the end of your session, and sometimes questions are asked during the session if your practitioner feels it necessary while reading energy. Picture a muddy cup. Now take a garden hose and put it in the cup & turn the hose on. Over time, the clean water will push the mud out of the cup, slowly creating clean water inside the cup. That's what Reiki energy is doing for your body and chakras, ailments and dis-ease; encouraging your body and energy to let go of energy that no longer serves you, so you can function at your "best". Reiki sessions can be emotional, heavy, uplifting, releasing, educational, helpful, and a plethora of other things. Your practitioner will ensure you are comfortable and safe throughout your session to allow these emotions to flow freely.
