About the event
Samhain is our last Harvest Celebration of the calendar year. It is a cross-quarter festival between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice. It is a time to honor our passed loved ones, the stirring energy of the changing seasons and the transition inward as we enter the darkness of Winter.
At this event, you can expect to:
*settle into your space with hot tea or a beverage of choice.
*enjoy a traditional seasonal soup with our Harvest Prayer.
*learn and listen to stories of our ancestors and how they taught us to celebrate the Sacred Earth events.
*create an altar where we will honor our passed loved ones and all souls with an Ancestors Prayer.
*gather to create a circle around our altar for meditative prayer and guidance.
*engage in a respectful "roundtable" discussion where we will claim/reclaim our birthright.
*create a traditional knotted braid for your personal altar.
*go home ready to sink into stillness until our Winter Solstice Celebration.
Please bring items to place on our altar. Items can include but are not limited to pictures of loved ones, crystals, jewelry, trinkets, herbs, spell jars, and anything that is meaningful for Samhain.
